CONFESSION: Proverbs
Wise and all-knowing God,
we confess our knowledge is limited.
We have failed to seek wisdom and have lived in foolishness.
We have not exercised self-control in our thoughts,
over our words and through our deeds.
Please forgive our foolish ways.
All too often we have displayed laziness rather than diligence,
greed rather than restraint,
stirred up trouble rather than promote peace.
Please forgive our foolish ways.
Forgive us and fill us with your Holy Spirit
that we may walk in the ways of wisdom. Amen.
